NASCAR: Weekend Schedule for Michigan and Road America

NASCAR will this weekend travel to both Michigan International Speedway (Brooklyn, Michigan) and Road America (Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin) . NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Sprint Cup Series will both race at Michigan while the Xfinity Series will race at Road America. Michigan International Speedway opened for racing in 1968. The track is a D-shaped oval and is 3,2 km (2 mile) long. Surface is paved with four turns. Banking in turns are 18 degrees, backstretch 5 degrees and frontstretch 12 degrees . Lap record is held by Jeff Gordon with 206.558 mph (34.857 sec.) in 2014. The stands currently capacity are 71 000 seats.
