Weekend Schedule for Charlotte Motor Speedway

NASCAR will this weekend, again, travel to Concord, North Carolina, for two races at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This time we will see regular Series racing as usual.  NASCAR Xfinity Series and Sprint Cup Series will both race this weekend while the Truck Series is off . Charlotte Motor Speedway, formerly Lowe´s Motor Speedway, opened for racing in 1960. The track is  quad oval shaped and is 2.4 km (1.5 mile) long. Surface is asphalt with four turns, banking in the straits are 9° and in the turns 24°. Lap record is held by Tony Stewart with 24.490 seconds in 1998 (IndyCar Series). The stands currently capacity are 94 000 seats.
