The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) season finale has arrived. This coming weekend, Freddy Nordstrom will race for the final time in 2016, this time around the spectacular Zolder circuit in Belgium.
Steeped in history, Zolder is a challenging circuit. With long, sweeping corners, blind crests and tight chicanes, it is a true test of a driver’s skill, and certainly one that Freddy Nordstrom is looking forward to, and with a hotel right on sight, it is great for spectators too.
Zolder is also a fairly new circuit to Freddy Nordstrom. After missing out last year’s season finale, his only experience of it is a brief test last season. This weekend’s season finale will again reward drivers with double points, meaning there is a lot to play for, and Freddy is keen to raise his point tally.
“It seems strange to be talking about the final round already, but here we are, just days from it. I feel like I say this every year, but is has been a challenging year. Each year I feel this championship pushes me to raise my game, and this year I feel I have improved a great deal.”
“I would love to go out on a high this weekend, complete with a good points haul. I will certainly give it everything I’ve got, and hope to come away with some strong results”.
