Weekend Schedule for Pocono Raceway

NASCAR will this weekend travel to Long Pond, Pennsylvania for two races at Pocono Raceway – “the Tricky Triangle”. NASCAR Xfinity Series and Sprint Cup Series will both race this weekend while the Truck Series is off. Pocono Raceway, formerly Pocono International Raceway, opened for racing in 1971. The track is triangle shaped and is 4 km (2.5 mile) long. Surface is asphalt with three turns. Banking in turn one is 14°, turn two 8° and in turn three 6°. Lap record is held by Juan Pablo Montoya with 223.871 MPH in 2014 (IndyCar Series). The stands currently capacity are 76 812 seats.
